We are less than 2 months away from kicking off our 4th Annual Mystery Skillbuilder BOM! Dawna, the owner of The Quilt Store, and her Mom "Mama Fran," owner of Village Dry Goods in UT, design a fabulous mystery sampler quilt each year, exclusive to the two shops. This is an opportunity to not only complete a beautiful surprise, but to grow as a quilter and learn new tools and techniques, which are presented each month at The Quilt Store from October to June.

NEW! Flower Box Friends BOM

Beginning TODAY! It's not too late to join this 12 month BOM!
Experience the rising trend of wool applique with Flower Box Friends designed by Pastthyme Patterns and designer Darci Schipnewski. This 12-month club features a different wool applique flower block each month, divided into two 6-month Seasons. Each flower is referred to as a "Petal" and measure approximately 8" and can placed on a 12" square background.
Starting in August 2025, each month will showcase a unique wool applique flower block with endless possibilities for use, including wall hangings, pillows, table toppers, quilts and more. Join us and discover the beauty of wool applique with Flower Box Friends Club.
Each month, you’ll receive a Wool Applique Flower block and pattern that you can work on until you wait for next month’s kit. Each kit comes with instructions and fabrics needed to complete each block. Instructional YouTube videos will be available for each of the Petals.
Secure your spot with a one-time registration fee of $25.00 and the first month's payment of $32.99. Your credit card information will be securely collected for charges over the next twelve months.

Next Gen Quilters Meet up & Open Sew!
Younger generations are starting to join in the fun of "slow" hobbies like quilting! Part of the joy of quilting (or any hobby) is to connect with peers who share your enthusiasm. Next Gen Open Sew is the 3rd Wednesday of the Month from 3pm-8pm where we specifically invite our young adult quilters who want to connect with their contemporaries over the art of Quilting. The Cost is $5. Please reserve your spot here, we can't wait to meet you!



Open Sew is for anyone who would like to come and sew! The cost is $5. Bring your own projects, make friends, and enjoy The Quilt Store. When you're here for open sew (or any of our classes) you can also take an additional 10% off while you're here. Please sign up to reserve your seat!
Scrap School--Cat's Cradle Block -- August 20th, 10am-1pm
Use your leftover fabric to make great scrap quilt blocks! This month we’ll explore at least 3 ways to make the versatile “Cat’s Cradle” block, both with and without specialty rulers. NOTE: the class is $35 if you'd like to also bundle the cat's cradle ruler, which is optional for the class, the cost is $59+tax

Beginning Foundation Paper Piecing Class -- August 21st from 10am-12pm

Scrap School--Squares 4 Ways -- September 17th, 10am-1pm
The humble square, so simple yet so versatile. Use your fabric scraps to make square-based units in your patchwork quilt blocks. We’ll explore at least 4 ways to use your scrap squares to bring a nice variety to your scrap quilt projects!

NEW! Learning How to Drive- Machine Sewing for Beginners- Sept. 18th from 2-5pm (also offered in October)

PETAL TO THE METAL!! This class is like driver's ed for sewing with a sewing machine. Would you plan a road trip without knowing how to drive a car or read a map? Machine sewing is the same thing. You have to know how to use your machine first before making anything. Bring your machine, and we'll show you how! Learn more and sign up here!
NEW! Jelly Roll Rug Class -- September 20th from 10am-1pm

Yes, you CAN make a really nice rug on your sewing machine! In class you will learn how to make a rug or placemat using Jelly Roll strips and batting. Using a unique technique of folding the strips and then attaching the strips together, you make a wonderful rug that is washable! For more information and to sign up, click here!

Cheryl will teach you the pleasures of having a hand project and the unhurried, relaxing skill of making something solely by hand. You will learn basic stitches to get you started on your embroidery adventures! Learn more and sign up here!

At this month’s Scrap School learn how to make 3 kinds of gift bags - great for Halloween Trick or Treating, or for Holiday gift giving. Use the scrap fabrics provided in class or bring your own scraps and orphan blocks. Bring scraps of fabric for Christmas, Hanukah, and Halloween themes, or just whatever you like to make a gift bag great for Birthday, Wedding, or Baby gifts.
