We have the most amazing staff at The Quilt Store!

Meet Rebekha!

If you hang out at The Quilt Store, you've probably been lucky enough to meet Rebekha and seen her buzz around the shop with her infectious laugh. She has worked for The Quilt Store for about 10 years and was here before Dawna purchased the store in 2022; she's our Behind the Scenes Queen and she helps the store run smoothly. Rebekha keeps track of our classes, clubs, quilt kits, notions inventory, 2nd Saturday logistics, updates forms and signage, AND binds customer quilts that are hot off the longarm. Phew!! She's busy! And we couldn't do it without her.

Unsurprisingly, her organizational skills have been honed from 40 years as a teacher, teaching ESL and Kindergarten through College. Before she retired in 2005 she decided she needed to learn something new to keep her busy in retirement, so she got into quilting. Rebekha says she loves to pick out fabrics and play with colors; she was also a serious painter before she became a quilter, so color theory is her forte. Typically she uses bright colors in her quilts but black is actually her favorite color.

When she's not quilting she enjoys hiking, gardening, conted cross stitch, reading, snowshoeing and spending time with her family (including 5 grandkids and 3 GREAT grandkids)!
