Valentine Table runner
If you’ve ever wondered why some fabric combinations just seem to work, or if choosing fabrics for a project is intimidating, this class is for you! We’ll learn something new, and assemble blocks for a table runner all at the same time. The instructor may even bring a few Valentine treats!

| Skill Details: | - In this class we'll open with a few hands-on activities to identify why we're drawn to certain colors, learn about the color wheel, and try out a personalized fabric pull based on color wheel combinations. - As we makes the blocks for the Valentine table runner, the instructor will demonstrate how applying a few color theory principles guided her fabric choices for the project. We'll also use the instructor's "strip set plus" technique for quick assembly of the disappearing nine patch block. The instructor will also close with a demonstration of the remaining steps to assemble and finish off the table runner at home. - This class is perfect for beginner quilters as well as more advanced students interested in creating a fun Valentine project while learning about color choices and how they impact a quilt design. |
| Requirements: | -a wide variety of fabric samples from your stash to work with during our opening activities (include some prints) -sewing machine (1/4" foot is very helpful for accuracy), 1-2 pre-wound bobbins with neutral thread, pins, rotary cutter and mats (used for squaring up the blocks during construction), scissors, seam ripper, -an "inspiration" photo from a magazine ad or on your phone for the personalized fabric pull exercise. -a light lunch |
