Hexi Stripe Quilt Class
In the Hexi Stripe Quilt Class you'll learn an innovative way to make hexagon magic using a 60 degree ruler and strips of fabric. Jo will show you how!
We have a select number of kits available, sold separately, in the color pallet shown (not the exact fabrics) or choose your own path with your own strips. This quilt is a great opportunity to play with color and value. Check out the pattern, below, for color inspiration. The quilt is strip pieced with NO Y seams so it goes together much more easily than it looks at first glance.

60 degree triangle ruler, minimum 6 1/2” tall

Your usual suspects: sewing machine with power and pedal, pins, sewing machine needles, scissors, seam ripper, etc. Jo found fork pins to be especially helpful in the final construction. If you don’t have any, we’ll have some in the store.

Homework:

Read the pattern! Step 1 and 2 are especially important before class so you have an idea of where you’re headed.

Select your fabric and separate into 3 groups of 3 colors. For better contrast, use a light, a medium, and a dark fabric in each group

Cut into 2 1/2” strips. It’s not a jelly roll quilt but leftover jelly roll strips are a great place to start.

If you’re comfortable with your color choices, sew one strip set "group" together. If not, bring your fabric and Jo can help you make final decisions.
**All Classes have a 72 hour cancellation policy. Cancellations within 72 hours of the class date will not be refunded unless the seat can be filled by the waitlist.
**Waitlists: Joining a waitlist ONLY means you agree to receive an automatic emailed response when a spot opens. It does not guarantee you will be in the class or that you will have first right of refusal. The seat will be filled by the first person (whether they are on a waitlist or not) to pay for that seat. Waitlists only apply to cancellations for that date/time, not future listings of the same class.
