Dawna Sanders, Owner

I have loved sewing and creating since I was a little girl. My first attempt at sewing was in 2nd grade. In 2000, I learned to quilt and that has been my love and passion ever since! I enjoy the deep connections to history and with others that I have found in the quilting community. I have been quilting professionally since 2008. I enjoy designing quilt patterns, pantographs and digital designs for other long arm quilters and have been doing so since 2011. I love sharing my passion for quilting with others through teaching and through speaking engagements.  My husband and I live in Colorado and have 2 grown children and 4 grandchildren.

In January 2022, I purchased The Quilt Store in Broomfield Colorado.  It is exciting to expand my business and still inspire quilters to be #ContinuouslyCreative!

I am so glad you have found our store's website, now also the home of Dawna's Design Threads, and if we can be of any help to you with your quilting needs please don’t hesitate to contact me or my staff at 303-465-0750.

Keep in touch and be sure to like us on our Facebook pages:  The Quilt Store or Dawna's Design Threads!

Pantograph Presentation & Events Available!

Dawna is available to speak at quilt guilds or stores. She has a fun and informative Pantograph Presentation and Trunk Show. The presentation covers an explanation of what pantographs are, how to use them, and choosing the correct pantograph for your quilt.

Contact us if interested.

For store presentation events Dawna has a couple of options:

Panto Party - an adapted version of her Pantograph Presentation and Trunk Show.

Panto Palooza - an in-depth hands-on class covering the use of pantographs. Attendees will learn tips on how to choose pantographs and other ways pantographs can be used besides just edge to edge. (This is good for stores with longarms available for the hands-on demonstration and customer interaction.)
